Speedway® is Helping UH Rainbow Change Kids’ Health May 18th-21st!

Speedway®, part of 7-Eleven, Inc., is fueling miracles for kids and their families at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s, a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, May 18th – 21st. It is important that member children’s hospitals have the support they need to help kids receive the best possible care. 

This weekend, stop in your local Speedway® store and donate to fuel miracles and change kids’ health. Your donation will make a difference in the community by raising funds for [insert name of hospital] to improve medical treatments, equipment and facilities along with provide child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays. These funds allow UH Rainbow to address the most challenging health issues today and prevent and prepare for those to come. 

For patients like Henry who was born at 23 weeks and just 1.5 pounds to parents suffering from addiction. Henry faced many challenges and uncertainties in his early days in UH Rainbow’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and unfortunately Henry’s biological mother was overcome by her addition, leaving him with his UH Rainbow team to provide the care he so desperately needed. For the next few months they provided so much more than medical care, truly showing Henry the love and support he needed to survive. In addition to caring for him as if he was their own child, the Rainbow team helped find the Amorosos, who knew from the moment they met that he belonged in their family. After six months in the NICU, Henry got to go home with his new family and was officially adopted just a week before his second birthday. Now five, Henry is thriving!

Speedway has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for more than 30 years and has raised nearly $4 million locally for UH Rainbow. Their support has brought joy and healing to kids treated in the hospital in many ways and they understand children’s hospitals are on the frontlines when it comes to protecting the health of future generations.
